Sara Zamboni (1990) is an Italian composer and pianist based in The Hague (NL). She graduated cum laude in Classical Piano (MA) under the teachings of Andrea Rebaudengo and Marina Baudoux at the “Luca Marenzio” Conservatoire of Brescia (2014). Then, she moved to The Netherlands where she brilliantly graduated in Composition (BA) at the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague as a student of Martijn Padding, Calliope Tsoupaki (2017). She got interested in Electronic Music thanks to the class of Maurice Bom, then she decided to nurture her interest following courses such as Kees Tazelaar’s ‘Composing in the Analogue studio’ and ‘Audio Engineering in Electronic Music’ taught by Paul Jeukendrup. She studied Modern and Contemporary piano repertoire with Gerard Bouwhuis. In September 2018 she obtained the Music Business Certificate at the SAE Institute of Amsterdam. She is currently in her 2nd Year Composition Master’s (expected graduation: June 2019). She is coached in her research by Richard Barrett and Samuel Vriezen. As a composer, she is taking part to the Composer Collider Project (CCE) for the period 20172020 with the Köln-based Ensemble Musikfabrik. Since August 2017 she is working as a freelance piano accompanist for Modern dance classes at the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague. She also founded ‘Sara Zamboni Music’, her own studio for instrumental and electronic music, music for stage & Modern dance choreographies.
