Celia Swart (1994) is a saxophonist and composer from the Netherlands. By playing the saxophone since the age of 9, she has been surrounded by pop, jazz and classical music. Growing up, Celia has played in pop/jazz bands, a bigband and a harmony orchestra. Around the age of 14 she took piano lessons and found her love for composing. In 2012 she has studied at the conservatory in Groningen for Composition, Music and Studio productions. A year later she did audition for the Royal Conservatory in The Hague, where she is graduated in 2018 and now holds a bachelor degree in Composition. Among her teachers were Guus Janssen, Martijn Padding, Peter Adriaansz and John Ruocco. Her music has a lot of narrative and film influences, and has been used for short movies and documentaries. She also makes her own films with her drawings and compositions.
