Bethan Morgan-Williams

Bethan is the current holder of the prestigious Royal Philharmonic Society’s Susan Bradshaw Composer Prize. Her music is technically very demanding but is infused with a functionality derived from her own considerable experience as a performing musician. Her interests are diverse; folk and techno are two core interests of hers and run in parallel and strongly inform her ‘art music’ concerns.
Bethan is currently working on a string quartet for the Ligeti Quartet (premier this summer at Cheltenham Festival), another string quartet for players at the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, and on a trio for Psappha Ensemble as part of the Here & Now wellbeing project at the Whitworth Art Gallery in Manchester.
